Removal and installation 4-staged and automatic transmission (AT)

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

2. Remove a sleeve of an air inlet and a casing of the air cleaner (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
3. Remove the battery and its basic pallet (see the Head Elektrooborudovaniye of the engine). Disconnect the grounding tire from a transmission case.
4. Disconnect an electrical wiring, turn out fixing bolts and remove assembly of a starter (see the Head Elektrooborudovaniye of the engine).
5. Disconnect an electrical wiring from VSS and electromagnetic valves of management of transmission (see the Sections Adjustment and replacement of the sensor switch of provision of transmission and Check and replacement of electromagnetic valves of management of functioning of transmission).
6. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Remove forward wheels.
7. Hang out the power unit from above by means of the winch, or laid over edges of a cowl of a beam.
8. On 4-cylinder models turn out bolts of fastening of an arm of a support of the power unit to transmission. On the V6 models give a nut of fastening of a pillow of a forward support of the unit to an arm.
9. Remove protection of a case.
10. Merge from ATF transmission. At a vvorachivaniye to the place of a drain stopper do not forget to replace its sealing washer.

11. Disconnect hoses of a cooling path of ATF.

12. Disconnect a l-probe electrical wiring (see the Head Engine management).
13. Remove an exhaust pipe (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).
14. Release damping forks from suspension bracket control levers (see the Head Podvesk and steering).
15. Give koronchaty nuts of spherical support and disconnect the lower levers from rotary fists (see the Head Podvesk and steering).
16. Release power shafts from assembly of the main transfer (see the Head Stsepleniye and power shafts). Wrap assemblies of internal CV JOINTS in plastic bags for protection them from pollution. Tie up power shafts a wire to suspension bracket elements, without allowing them to hang all weight on external CV JOINTS. Remove an intermediate shaft.
17. Turn out bolts of the right and left pushing bars and separate the last from suspension bracket control levers (see the Head Podvesk and steering).

18. Mark situation a stretcher concerning the chassis and release from clamps on a stretcher hydraulic lines of the steering amplifier.

19. On the V6 models give nuts of fastening of the lower support to a stretcher. Turn out fixing bolts and remove take assembly of a stretcher from under the car.

20. On the V6 models turn out bolts of fastening of a plate of the amplifier of the power unit. On 4-cylinder models remove assembly of the amplifier.

21. Remove the holder of a driving cable of gear shifting (see the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of gear shifting).
22. Remove a gear shifting cable (see the Section Removal, installation and adjustment of a cable of gear shifting).
23. Mark position of the converter of rotation of rather driving disk, - at assembly components have to be established strictly in former provisions in order to avoid balancing violation.

24. Serially turn out bolts of fastening of the converter of rotation to a driving disk. For ensuring access to the next bolt turn a bent shaft for a pulley.
25. Turn out two back bolts of fastening of a case of transmission to an engine wall.

26. On 4-cylinder models turn out bolts of an arm of a back support of the power unit.

27. On 4-cylinder models remove an assembly bracket of the inlet pipeline (near an arm of a back support of the power unit).
28. Remove from transmission of a support of the power unit (see the Head Dvigatel). On the V6 models remove an arm of a forward support of the unit.
29. Prop up transmission a jack (whenever possible special), having fixed it on a head of the last by a safety chain. Raise assembly, having completely unloaded its support.

30. Give nuts of an arm of a support and turn out the remained bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine.

31. Remove the other components of the chassis or a suspension bracket preventing dismantle of transmission.
32. Take away a jack back, removing transmission from the directing pins. Track that the converter of rotation was disconnected from a driving disk. Fix the converter in transmission not to allow its loss in the course of assembly dismantle. Lower transmission and take it from under the car.

Perhaps, it will be required to etch slightly the winch on which the engine in the course of lowering of transmission for the purpose of release of bigger working space is hung out.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Manufacturers of cars (Honda company) recommend to make washing of a cooler of ATF and lines of a cooling path with solvent. Track that upon completion of washing solvent did not remain in cooler lines/cavities. It will be reasonable to wash out in conclusion for a guarantee a cooler of pure ATF.
2. Before installation make sure of reliability of gearing of a nave of the converter of rotation in the pump.
3. Having fixed transmission on a jack, bring it to regular situation (try not to incline assembly in order to avoid loss of the converter from it).
4. Achieve the correct combination of the tags of position of the converter of rather driving disk put in the course of dismantle.
5. Make sure of presence at the nests of two guides of pins, then accurately put on them transmission, watching correctness of input of the converter in gearing.
6. Screw four bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine and tighten them with the required effort.

Do not use bolts for pulling up of transmission to the engine. If it is not possible to press assembly, try to establish the reason and to eliminate a hindrance.

7. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. At installation of a stretcher track correctness of combination of the landing tags put in the course of dismantle. Tighten stretcher fixture with the required effort (see also Specifications to the Head Podvesk and steering). The required efforts of tightening of fixture of support of the power unit are given in Specifications to the Head Dvigatel.
8. Fill in in transmission the necessary number of ATF of the required grade (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance). Be not frightened if it is required to fill in liquids slightly more, than it is stipulated by norms, - surplus will leave on filling of the converter of rotation which is not devastated in the course of usual change of ATF.
9. Start the engine, cock the parking brake and carry out the selector lever through all provisions three times. Make sure of serviceability of functioning of a driving cable of gear shifting (see the Section Removal and installation of the lever of switching (selector) of transfers).
10. Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature (transmission in situation "N" or "P"), then muffle it and check the ATF level.
11. Carry out trial runs of the car, then check the power unit for existence of signs of leak of liquids.
12. In case of vibrations release and again tighten with the required effort fixture of support of the power unit (see the Head Dvigatel).
13. Execute adjustment of angles of installation of forward wheels.
