The present Chapter is devoted to the components located between a back part of the engine and driving wheels of the car (without transmission which is considered in the Head Korobka of gear shifting). According to the destination the considered components can be broken into two categories: coupling and power shafts. Descriptions of a design and the principle of action of each of separate knots, and also procedures of check of a state, removal, dismantling and recovery repair of the components entering into both groups are provided in the following Sections.

As the most part of the procedures described in the present Chapter is made under the car, special attention should be paid to reliability of fixing of the last in the lifted situation.
