Removal and installation of the fuel highway and injectors of fuel

See preventions at the beginning of the Section Dropping Pressure in a power supply system.

Removal of the fuel highway from the 4-cylinder engine can be made without preliminary dismantle of the delivery camera of an air path. On V6 engines the delivery camera has to be removed for the purpose of ensuring access to highways of the left and right ranks of cylinders, at the same time both highways can be removed uniform assembly together with the injectors fixed in them.

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the equipment in action!

2. Dump pressure in a power supply system (see the Section Dropping Pressure in a power supply system).
3. On the V6 models uncover access the top part of the power unit (see the Head Dvigatel).
4. On the V6 models remove the delivery camera of an air path (see the Head Dvigatel).

5. Disconnect an electrical wiring from injection injectors.

6. Disconnect a fuel return hose from pressure regulator.

The line of return of fuel thinner and fastens on the regulator union a small collar of spring type, then a hose of the giving fuel pipe (the pressure head line) приболчен to the highway.

7. Disconnect from the fuel highway of the tire of grounding.
8. Disconnect the line of supply of fuel from the fuel highway.

9. Give fixing nuts / bolts and remove the fuel highway of the engine.

On the V6 models of the highway of both rows of cylinders have to rise at the same time.

10. Take an injector(s) from the landing nest of the fuel highway.

11. Remove and will throw out old sealing and damping rings/washers.

It makes sense to replace all rings/washers used in injectors regardless of their state.

 

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Oil new damping washers pure motive and put on them injection injectors.
2. Establish the new sealing rings (which are also oiled motive), then fill injectors in in the landing nests in the fuel highway.
3. Oil motive new landing sealing rings and fill them in nests under installation of injectors in the inlet pipeline.
4. Install assembly of the fuel highway with injectors on the inlet pipeline. Tighten fixing nuts (4-cylinder models) with the required effort. On the V6 models strongly tighten fixing bolts.
5. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components.
6. Having finished installation, not starting the engine, include ignition for the purpose of activation for couple of seconds of the fuel pump and rise in pressure in a power supply system. Repeat such inclusion two-three times, then check fuel lines, the highway and injectors for existence of signs of leaks.
