Removal and installation of final collectors

Start implementation of the procedure only after final cooling of the power unit.

REMOVAL

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

2. Impregnate fixture of collectors with the getting structure.
3. Prop up antiretractable boots back wheels. Cock the parking brake and transfer the AT selector lever to situation "P". A car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Remove the lower antispray screen.

4. Disconnect reception pipes of system of production of the fulfilled gases from final collectors.

Fixture of pipes will be also reasonable to be impregnated with in advance getting structure.

5. Turn out fixing bolts and remove thermofilters from final collectors (also expediently previously to impregnate fixture with the getting structure).

6. Give самоконтрящиеся nuts and remove collectors from heads of cylinders.

Самоконтрящиеся nuts at assembly are subject to replacement without fail.

7. Attentively examine both collectors and their fixture on existence of cracks and other mechanical damages, replace defective parts.

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. By means of a scraper remove the remains of sealant and traces of material of old laying from the interfaced surfaces of final collectors and heads of cylinders. Wipe surfaces with the rags moistened in acetone. If suspicions on leaks took place, check planeness of collectors, in case of need give the deformed components to a pro-point.
2. Put on new laying the fixing hairpins which are closed up in heads of cylinders.
3. Establish collectors, oil hairpins motive and screw new самоконтрящиеся fixing nuts. Moving from the center of a collector outside, passing from one fastener to another in a diagonal order, in three stages tighten nuts with the required effort.

On collectors identification tags in the form of letters of "F" (forward) and "R" (back) which are not allowing to mix components are provided.

4. The remained components are installed as it should be, the return to an order of their dismantle.
5. Start the engine and check it for existence of signs of leak of the fulfilled gases through joints of final collectors with heads of cylinders and reception pipes of system of release.
