Check of serviceability of a state and replacement of the sensor of speed of the movement of the car (VSS)

VSS is established on a case of transmission and represents the sensor with a variable magnetic resistance beginning to develop tension impulses as soon as the speed of the movement of the car passes 4.8 km/h for value (3 miles an hour). Impulses from the sensor arrive on RSM and are used by the module at management of duration of time of opening of injectors of injection of fuel and switching of transmission. On models with RKPP one VSS is used, on the models equipped with AT two sensors of speed are provided: one is connected to a secondary shaft of the transmission, the second, - to an intermediate shaft, and an exit of any of them out of operation leads to problems with switching of transmission.

Models with RKPP

1. Disunite the sensor electrical wiring plait socket. Measure by the voltmeter tension on the socket (from a plait). The positive probe of the voltmeter should be connected to the plug of a black-yellow wire, negative - to weight. On the socket battery tension has to take place. If food is absent, check a condition of an electrical wiring of VSS on the site between the sensor and the assembly block of safety locks (under the dashboard at the left). Make sure also of serviceability actually of a safety lock. By means of an ohmmeter check existence of conductivity between the plug of a black wire of the socket and weight. If conductivity is absent, check a condition of a black wire and quality of its terminal connections.
2. A car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Prop up antiretractable boots back wheels and transfer transmission to neutral situation. Connect an electrical wiring to VSS, include ignition (the engine do not start) and test the voltmeter the plug of an alarm (blue-white) wire from a reverse side of the socket (the negative probe connect to the mass of a body). Holding one of forward wheels motionless,
manually rotate opposite, - tension has to fluctuate ranging from zero to 5 V, otherwise replace VSS.

Models with AT

3. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the corresponding sensor of speed. By means of an ohmmeter measure resistance between two plugs of the sensor. The nominal rate makes about 400 ÷ of 600 Ohms, - otherwise replace the sensor.

REPLACEMENT

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the speed sensor.
2. Turn out the fixing screw and remove the sensor from a transmission case.
3. Installation is made upside-down. Do not forget to replace a sealing ring.
