Removal, check of a state and installation of a gas-distributing belt and cogwheels of the GRM drive
REMOVAL
|
1. Bring the engine into the provision of VMT of the first cylinder and for the purpose of ensuring access to a gas-distributing belt remove forward covers and a belt of the drive of balancing shaft (see the Section Reduction of the Piston of the First Cylinder in the provision of the top dead point (TDP)).
|
2. At the weakened nut of a natyazhitel wring out a roller of the last down, then tighten a nut. Now the gas-distributing belt can be thrown off from GRM drive cogwheels.
|
If the old belt is in good repair and will be established into place, mark with chalk or white paint the direction of its rotation and situation concerning cogwheels of shaft. |
|
3. The camshaft cogwheel can be in case of need removed, - pass the big screw-driver throughout an opening in casting of a wheel, then accurately give a fixing bolt by means of a face key.

Try not to allow camshaft provorachivaniye in the course of an otdavaniye of a bolt of fastening of its cogwheel! |
4. Removal of a cogwheel will provide access to two bolts of fastening to a back cover of a belt, and also to a camshaft epiploon. |

CHECK
|
Manually check freedom of rotation of a roller of a natyazhitel, then pull it here and there, checking for existence of a side play in the bearing. Check a condition of teeths of wheels of the GRM drive (pay attention to existence of chips, cracks and other mechanical damages). Estimate the size of an axial side play of the camshaft. Attentively examine a gas-distributing belt on both sides, checking it for existence of signs of wear (especially persistent walls of teeths), cracks, cuts, attritions and traces of oiling. Replace defective components.

INSTALLATION
|
1. If removed, establish into place a cogwheel of the camshaft and tighten a bolt of its fastening with the required effort. 2. Make sure that the engine still remains in the provision of VMT of the end of a step of compression of the first cylinder (see the Section Reduction of the Piston of the First Cylinder in the provision of the top dead point (TDP)).

3. Achieve combination of adjusting tags on cogwheels of distributive and cranked shaft with reciprocal tags on the engine block.

Tags on both sides of a pulley of the camshaft have to be combined with the top cut of a head of cylinders. |
|
|
4. Make sure that the back balancing shaft is blocked by means of a bolt or a prutkovy key 6 x 100 mm. Throw with a gas-distributing belt cogwheels, moving in the direction counterclockwise in the following order: wheel of a bent shaft, natyazhitel, water pump, camshaft wheel. |
5. Weaken a nut of a natyazhitel, having provided a belt tension. Tighten a nut and establish a belt of the drive of balancing shaft (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of cogwheels and a belt of the drive of balancing shaft). 6. Adjust a tension of both belts (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of cogwheels and a belt of the drive of balancing shaft), turn a bent shaft for a bolt of its pulley on two whole revolutions, again having stopped it in the provision of VMT of the end of a step of compression of the piston of the first cylinder. Make sure that all adjusting tags returned to starting positions. Repeat adjustment of efforts of a tension of belts (see paragraph 5 of the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of cogwheels and a belt of the drive of balancing shaft). 7. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. At installation of a pulley of a bent shaft do not forget to grease a carving and the lower surfaces of heads of bolts of its fastening.

Do not apply a shock key to tightening of a bolt of a pulley. |
