Removal and installation of the pallet of a case of the engine

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature, then merge from it engine oil and remove an oil filter (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

3. The car also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Remove protection of a case.

4. Turn out bolts of fastening of a stiffening rib of the engine.

5. Give bolts of fastening of the pallet to the engine block.

6. Having tapped the pallet on perimeter the hammer with soft brisk for the purpose of destruction of a layer of sealant, separate it from the block, - at all do not make attempts to hook the pallet under the interfaced surface!

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Scratch out all traces of sealant and material of old laying from the interfaced surfaces of the pallet and block. Remove face sealing inserts from the pallet or the block. Carefully wipe the interfaced surfaces with the rags moistened in acetone. Clean and dry carving openings in the block.
2. Wash out the pallet solvent and carefully dry it. Make sure of lack of deformations of an adjusting flange of the pallet, in case of need lay the pallet a flange on the flat wooden block and make a rikhtovka.
3. Impose sealant on the surfaces of interface of the oil pump to the block and the holder of a back epiploon of a bent shaft with the block. Also grease with sealant a back part of laying of the pallet on corners of a semicircular face sealing insert.
4. Accurately press the pallet to the block.
5. Screw two forward, two back and two central nuts and by hand tighten them. Screw the remained bolts and in stages (with a small step) tighten fixture with the required effort. Begin tightening of fixture in the direction from the center to edges of the pallet, moving on a spiral. Remember that pulling of fixture is fraught with development of leaks.
6. Establish into place a stiffening rib of the engine and fix it by bolts, having tightened them with the required effort (see Specifications to the Head Korobka of gear shifting).
7. Fill in engine oil (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance), start the engine and check the pallet for existence of leaks.
