Honda Accord

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action!

2. Previously having marked, disconnect wire VV from spark plugs (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
3. Mark and disconnect all hoses and wires preventing removal of a head.

4. Remove the PCV valve and disconnect a branch pipe of a sapun from a cover of a head of cylinders.

5. Carefully wipe a cover in order to avoid hit of garbage in a head cylinders/assembly of the valvate mechanism.
6. Give a fastening bolt to a cover of a head of cylinders of the tire of grounding (from a gas-distributing belt).

7. Turn out bolts of fastening of a cover of a head of cylinders and remove them together with sealing washers.

8. Accurately uncover together with sealing laying. If laying of a podlipl to the interfaced head surface, tap a cover the hammer with soft brisk for the purpose of destruction of a layer of sealant. Do not make at all attempts to separate a cover by a poddevaniye its lever entered between the interfaced surfaces.

1. Take old laying from a landing flute in a cover of a head of cylinders, then carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces of a head of cylinders and its cover. Having scratched out traces of old sealant and fragments of laying, wipe surfaces with the rags moistened in acetone.

The intact whole sealing laying in principle is subject to recycling.

2. Enclose new rubber laying in the landing flute on a flange of a cover of a head of cylinders. Establish the formed laying, having pushed it in the groove passing on cover perimeter. Impose a little RTV sealant on corners where the interfaced surface of a cover of a head of cylinders is joined to covers of forward and back bearings of the camshaft. Wait about five minutes, waiting for the moment of the beginning of polymerization of sealant.

Make sure that the top layer of sealant slightly hardened (wait about 10 minutes, but no more), only after it start installation of a cover (in the conditions of the increased humidity polymerization of sealant can begin with a small delay).

3. Establish a cover, lay sealing washers, screw fixing bolts and tighten them with the required effort.
4. On models with VTEC before establishing a cover of a head of cylinders, check a condition of sealing washers of spark plugs.
5. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to a dismantle order.
